Classical Saxophone Mouthpieces

There is an enormous, and growing, selection of classical saxophone mouthpieces. Choosing one is a personal experiment. Each player will respond differently to each mouthpiece. Here are some that I recommend:

• Selmer S90 170
• ⭐ Selmer Concept
• Vandoren SL3
• Vandoren S27
• Playnick LM2

Alto Saxophone

• Selmer S90 180
• Selmer S80 C**
• Selmer Concept
• Selmer Claude Delangle
• Vandoren AL3
• Vandoren AL5
• D’addario Reserve D150
• ⭐ Playnick LM1
• Bakun Vocalise TM2

Tenor Saxophone

• Selmer S90 180
• Vandoren T20
• Vandoren TL3
• ⭐ Vandoren TL5

Baritone Saxophone

• ⭐ Selmer S90 190
• Vandoren BL3

There are some obvious selections that are missing from this list. I haven’t had an opportunity to try every mouthpiece available. However, if I do find others that I like, I will update the list.
